LASIK & Cataract Surgery Consultation & Co-Management
We offer consultations to determine if you are a good candidate for Lasik or Cataract surgery and to provide an opportunity for you to learn about the many available options. Our experienced doctors can co-manage with the finest surgeons in the area, providing you with a convenient place and time for your pre-op and post-op care.
Most treatments for glaucoma are designed to lower and/or control intraocular pressure (IOP), which can damage the optic nerve that transmits visual information to the brain. Glaucoma drops are often the first choice over glaucoma surgery and can be very effective at controlling IOP to prevent eye damage. If you are a good candidate for glaucoma eye drops, you may be prescribed more than one type to achieve the best IOP control. In fact, many types of these drops can enhance the effects of other types.
Foreign Object Removal
From the occasional eyelash that wanders uninvited into the eye to the high-speed missile impact from an ejected metal shard, one may find oneself with something in the eye (medically referred to as a foreign body). Depending on what it is and how the injury happened, the foreign body may pierce the eye and cause serious injury or it may simply go away with no long-term problem. Most people realize that an eyelash in the eye does not require an evaluation by a doctor but that a metal shard in the eye would warrant a visit to the eye doctor.
Dry Eye Syndrome
Dry eyes are a common condition that occurs when your tears aren’t able to provide adequate lubrication for your eyes. Tears can be inadequate for many reasons. For example, dry eyes may occur if you don’t produce enough tears or if you produce poor-quality tears. Lacrimal plugs are used as treatment for dry eyes.
